According to Ibrox sources, via Football Insider, Steven Gerrard faces losing ‘superb‘ Teddy Bears forward Greg Stewart as Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson’s stance on the Gers striker has been revealed – with the Glasgow giants willing to accept a six-figure fee for the 30-year-old in January.

Stewart stance revealed

Stewart, who has barely featured for the Gers this season – often a mainstay on Gerrard’s bench as a back-up option going forward, is now being deemed as available for sale by Wilson and the Ibrox board as they aim to raise funds.

Sources apparently told Football Insider that Rangers will accept a six-figure fee of around £500,000 or more for the forward, with Gerrard facing the prospect of losing a striker he could call upon in emergencies.

Transfer Tavern take

As January looms, the outlet explains that the Teddy Bears’ priority will be fending off interest in their big names – with clubs apparently eyeing the situations of five Rangers mainstays.

Indeed, James Tavernier, Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara, Connor Goldson and Alfredo Morelos are all allegedly being eyed by top outfits ahead of the winter window.

Stewart, who is now said to be one of the names who could leave Ibrox,  will seemingly depart if the Gers receive a bid of £500,000 or more – with Gerrard potentially losing him in January if the right offer gets lodged.

Andrew Halliday lauded his ‘superb’ impact last season with the Teddy Bears, but if this inside claim is anything to go by, Rangers could soon chooose to offload him.
