The Magpies will be desperate to build on their recent run of positive results as momentum will be key, with many of our local northerners wanting to see a strong finish to the season. Although, a couple of the club’s youngsters could be given an extended run in the side, as Benitez is now able to relax and ring in the changes if he sees fit.
Indeed, Newcastle United welcome Arsenal to St James’ Park later on today in their next Premier League fixture, with the Tyneside club looking to secure a fourth successive win. However, the Gunners will have other ideas as they’re currently on one of their best runs, with their transfer window signings beginning to gel together.

Isaac Hayden
Isaac Hayden hasn’t exactly enjoyed the best of seasons with Newcastle United after establishing himself as a star in the last campaign, after failing to make any inroads with just 16 starts to his name in all competitions.
Although, it was always going to be difficult for the 23-year-old with Jonjo Shelvey and Mohamed Diame ahead of him in the pecking order, as he hasn’t been given enough opportunities to prove himself.
Nevertheless, Benitez should look to bring Hayden into the starting lineup for today’s game against Arsenal, as he’ll want to show his former club and current manager exactly what they’re missing out on.
Jacob Murphy
The 23-year-old has struggled to secure a permanent place in the side since signing from Norwich City in the summer, as he even finds himself being left out of matchday squads occasionally.
Although there’s no doubt that the Englishman can terrorise any defence on any given day, but he just hasn’t been given enough opportunities to gather any momentum in what’s been a rather frustrating campaign.
Therefore, Benitez should turn to Jacob Murphy to face the Gunners later on today, as he deserves an opportunity against one of the toughest sides in the Premier League after scoring against Manchester City.
