Newcastle United have received a big blow ahead of their home match against Leicester City on Saturday.

Ben Dinnery has revealed that Salomon Rondon will miss the game against the Foxes.

The freelance data injury analyst has stated that the Venezuela international striker has not been able to recover from thigh injury he sustained in their draw against Crystal Palace last weekend.

Dinnery also revealed that Rafa Benitez is likely to turn to Joselu to lead the line, as summer signing Yoshinori Muto is not yet deemed fit and ready to do so.

Newcastle have struggled in the Premier League this season and their attacking options once again have proven to be a concern.

Benitez looked at making the additions to his strikers and despite having added Rondon and Muto, it is felt that he would have liked to have made at least one more addition, especially with Dwight Gayle having departed.

The Verdict:

Rondon will be a big miss for Newcastle on Saturday when they face Leicester City.

The Magpies have picked up just two points from their six matches and have scored 4 goals so far.

Rondon, who is yet to open his account in the Premier League, has been heavily involved in other areas of the pitch and has helped to provide attacking chances for his team-mates.
