The Italians are set to become amongst the first to benefit from the inevitable player exit at Eastlands. But the picture beginning to emerge is that any squad members deemed to be surplus to requirement will be loaned rather than sold.

City’s transfer deals can only be respected in my book. Once you get over the whole ‘money’ issue, their tactics are spot on. One or two players may wish to read their contracts carefully before signing them, but they really are spot on.
