Liverpool sealed the Premier League title in emphatic fashion over the weekend, dismantling a disjointed Tottenham Hotspur side 5-1 at Anfield.
The performance was a fitting end to what has been a superb debut campaign for Dutch manager Arne Slot, who has revitalized the squad and maintained the high standards set by his predecessor, Jürgen Klopp.
With the title now secured, attention quickly turns to next season—and the transfer window—with Slot reportedly eager to trim the squad and make targeted additions to avoid stagnation.
Among the players linked with a move to Anfield is Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez. The 20-year-old left-back has been one of the Premier League’s standout young performers this season. In a surprise development, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has also been tentatively linked, although such a deal would be complex and costly.
On the departure front, several names are under scrutiny. Darwin Núñez, who has struggled to justify his £85 million price tag since joining from Benfica in 2022, could be moved on. Veteran midfielder Wataru Endo and Portuguese forward Diogo Jota are also reportedly among those whose futures are uncertain.
Saudi Clubs Circling Jota

Jota has been a reliable contributor since his 2020 move from Wolverhampton Wanderers, scoring 65 goals in all competitions. However, injuries and a dip in form have limited his impact this season. The 28-year-old has managed just nine goals in total—only six in the Premier League.
According to The Telegraph’s Chris Bascombe, clubs from the Saudi Pro League are “thought to be considering a move” for the Portugal international ahead of the summer window.
Bascombe adds that Liverpool would only consider selling Jota—who has two years left on his contract—if they receive a significant offer and are able to retain Luis Díaz, who has been heavily linked with Barcelona. The club is reportedly “unlikely” to let both attackers depart in the same window.
Despite Jota’s struggles this season, Slot has praised the forward’s intelligence and movement. Following a crucial late equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Fulham in December, the Liverpool boss said: “I couldn’t have asked for more. Jota is so intelligent with his positioning and what he does with the ball. It was a great team goal. It’s nice to have him back—he’d been away for two months.”
If Jota does leave, Liverpool fans may not be heartbroken given his recent struggles, but he’ll still be fondly remembered at Anfield.
