Yesterday saw Celtic travel to Rugby Park as they aimed to try and get their season back on track and make it four wins from six and make it just three points between themselves and top of the table Hearts. However, they were unable to bounce back from last weekend’s draw at St Mirren as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Kilmarnock courtesy of a 93rd minute Stuart Findlay strike.

Since Brendan Rodgers has come into the club there has been little opportunity for the fans to slate the ex-Liverpool man. However, after winning Scottish football’s first ever double-treble and breaking the club’s domestic unbeaten record after going an astounding 69 games without tasting defeat, it looks like the Northern Irishman may have run out of ideas and it was clear to see yesterday.
Leigh Griffiths gave The Hoops a first-half lead and it looked for a time like his header would be enough to secure all three points. It wasn’t to be, though, and after a Chris Burke equaliser on 64 minutes Rodgers’ side looked flat and void of creativity. The fans will be looking forward to getting back to winning ways but for now, they’ll be left to rue missed chances as Hearts have opened up a six-point gap on the reigning champions.

Half of these players are not worthy of the Celtic badge on their shirt. Recruitment a disaster, tactically inept and coaching lacking.

Pathetic. The club has been held back by terrible mis-management during the transfer windows. Yes, the odd game will always see us drop points but this is a club in self-imposed decline. Shameful.

No excuses, this defeat has been coming for weeks now. This team has stagnated, new blood & new tactics needed.

This is what happens when you take the money for Moussa Dembele and DONT do anything about it

The fans are rightly fuming with the result and will be looking ahead to their games against Aberdeen and St Johnstone in the Scottish Premier League to put it right.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
