Celtic have made a complete revival to be within just one point off 1st place in the Scottish Premiership.
The Hoops have been in inspired form under the brilliant guidance of Brendan Rodgers, who is a manager that has enjoyed massive success since being in Scotland.
With him at the helm and a talented squad, Celtic will sure hope to claim domestic success once again, even trying to make movements in Europe. To do so, the biggest improvement they need to make as soon as the January transfer window opens is signing a back-up striker that can provide competition and a different option to Odsonne Edouard.
That perfect player could be found in Senegalese striker Mbaye Diagne, a player ripping up the Super Lig.
Diagne, who is valued at £2.2 million on Transfermarkt, is in the form of his life and Celtic would be fortunate to bring in a player of his great quality.
In 11 appearances in the league so far this season, he has an incredible return of 11 goals and two assists.
Although Celtic do have some good options currently, the season is a long, gruelling test of fitness and instead of relying on two strikers for many different competitions, recruiting Mbaye Diagne would be a welcome addition to the take the pressure off others.
After all, it’s obvious to see that the 27-year-old is an accomplished goalscorer that would be a good move by Celtic as they look to get even better.
The versatile forward has even made his Senegal debut in recent months, which is testament to his vast improvement on the pitch with Kasimpasa.
Should Celtic look to sign Diagne… Let us know!
