Celtic know that with the quality they have in their team, they will always have a shot at winning the Scottish Premiership.
This season remains the same but it will be a more difficult challenge, with Rangers hot on their tails, awaiting a slip-up.
The title race at this stage is close so Celtic will want to pull away with the help of some new signings during the January transfer window.
Celtic’s biggest concern will be depth in the forward role, with Leigh Griffiths out of action leaving just Odsonne Edouard to score the goals.
As good as the Frenchman is, it would be beneficial for there to be another goal-scorer like Middlesbrough’s Ashley Fletcher at the club.
Fletcher, (who is valued at £3.1 million on Transfermarkt) has had a turbulent career already at the age of 23. With a number of moves not working out, he’s found a home at Middlesbrough, where so far he has played just 78 minutes of Championship football.
In other competitions, when given the opportunity, he thrives. Fletcher acquired three goals during five EFL cup appearances this season, showing Middlesbrough what he can offer when given a proper chance.
Celtic could offer Ashley Fletcher regularity on the pitch, giving him the match-time he needs to go and improve as a player.
He has all the right attributes to be an important forward for the Hoops. Pace, power and an eye for goal that could see the back of the net ripple a lot – should he move to Scotland.
The title race is firmly in Celtic’s hands and they would do well to build their squad, ensuring it’s good enough to win the Scottish Premiership.
