Weah and Christie will be key to Celtic’s hope of winning tonight

Celtic host Hibernian this evening and they will be looking to bolster their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Having won their last four League games in a row, Celtic now boast a six-point lead at the top of the table, with all sides now having played the same amount of games.

Their opponents tonight, Hibernian, sit in seventh and look set for a mid-table finish unless their form for the remainder of the campaign dramatically picks up.

With that being said, there are two players who should start tonight and could be key in obtaining the Bhoys’ healthy lead at the top of the League…

Timothy Weah

Weah does not seem fazed by the reputation his name brings and performs like he wants to enhance it even further.

The 18-year-old has netted three goals and provided one assist in just 142 minutes of football for Celtic so it is safe to say he is in form.

Brendan Rodgers has been alternating his striking options of late between Odsonne Edouard, Oliver Burke and Weah, but given the latter’s performances of late, he deserves another start tonight to see if he can continue being so impactful, this time from the start of the game.

Ryan Christie

Christie has well and truly found his feet at Celtic this season and has earnt his regular place in the starting 11.

The Scotsman has played most frequently at the tip of Celtic’s midfield of late, starring in their run of four wins on the bounce.

Christie has scored twice and assisted twice within them four games and the 23-year-old was influential against St. Johnstone on Sunday so that form deserves yet another start, this time against Hibernian.
