Rangers will be going into their clash against Kilmarnock with a point to prove. The Gers last game ended in a goalless draw against St Johnstone at Ibrox and ahead of their Lillie clash tomorrow Steven Gerrard has claimed that the player’s mentalities weren’t right leading up to their last game.
SG: The week’s training heading into St Johnstone I didn’t see the team with the right mentality, I saw a bit of ego before that match. This doesn’t happen very often, we are usually strong. I have told the players in a very honest way that is not acceptable at Rangers.

The Bluenoses were fuming to hear Steven Gerrard claim that his side had a bit of ego before they faced St Johnstone on Saturday and believe that until this current crop of talented players win some silverware then they have no right to show any ego. When the fans are putting it like that, it is hard to argue with them, and they’ll be even more pumped up for a big performance tomorrow against Kilmarnock.
Whilst the Scottish Premier League often gets lambasted for its lack of quality, there are truly no easy games. Plenty of players north of the border have excellent technical ability and those that don’t have the physicality to get by. The amount of teams competing this season isn’t surprising and if Rangers are to finish on top of the pile then they’ll need to drop their egos and perform.

Bit of ego! I blame @Cjnovo992

As the manager, don't pick these players, it's your job to put out the best team to win the game. 100 per cent try is what the fans want, not egotistical laziness.

Mentality problem throughout the squad.

What have these players achieved to have any ego ffs? Win everything first then have an ego until then sort it out

They need to earn that ego !

Damn right it’s not acceptable!! Once you win the title then you can have the swagger. Until then it’s work your arse off!!!

The fans are fuming to hear of an ego in their squad and will hope Gerrard quashes it quickly so they can get back to winning ways and start closing the gap on Celtic.
