‘Scrap Fekir’ – A lot of Liverpool fans agree the club should turn their attention to megastar

James

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been calling for their club to sign on-loan Real Madrid midfielder, James Rodriguez after his incredible display against Poland yesterday evening. Colombia thrashed the Poles 3-0 and James was undoubtedly the star.

Whilst normally a player would have to score to be named the star of the show, James Rodriguez found his 2014 form and came with the man of the match award despite not being on the scoresheet. The gem in the Colombian crown helped himself to two assists and thrived in a slightly deeper role for his nation, with the Polish midfield unable to shut him up throughout the 90 minutes.

A well-worked corner routine saw James’ excellent cross headed in by Yerry Mina just before half-time to give the South Americans the lead. Then, 20 minutes from time, Radamel Falcao made it 2-0 with a sweet finish before Juan Cuadrado put the cherry on the icing on the cake when he ran clear and scored after Rodriguez’s sublime ball cut the Polish defence in two. The creative display from the Bayern Munich man has convinced almost everyone in Liverpool that Rodriguez is the player they need and not Nabil Fekir.

You can see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying here:
