The Sunderland fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are fearing for their clubs future…
No team in the Premier League has made a poorer start to the season than Sunderland.
Currently sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table, David Moyes has not made the Sunderland start that he was dreaming of; and judging by recent performances – it is only going to get worse.
Yet to win a game in the Premier League so far, it is not looking good for David Moyes.
Despite his short tenure, some Sunderland fans have already had enough of the Scot and are calling for his sacking – fearing the worst for their position in the Premier League.
Our landlord doesn’t think that is the best decision, but he is intrigued to see if this opinion is widely held amongst the Sunderland fans outside of the Tavern.
Unsurprisingly, there are some Sunderland fans in agreement with our pessimistic punters…

Unmotivated mess. Moyes is a positivity drain. No leadership. Our option now is 35-yr-old O'Shea to sort shambolic defence. Poor Defoe #safc

However, some are on our landlord’s side – and are being more optimistic…
Moyes is here for long term, we need to accept that and pray it works. Talk of sacking is ridiculous #safc

People can blame Moyes if they want but as he says if players don't take some personal responsibility what chance has he got #safc

We are into the #safc are in crisis stage of the season, which is normal for this time of year. Still think Moyes will get them out of it

Not Moyes out for me yet. 11 sportsmen (not all 11, clearly) have to take responsibility. Hardly convincing from DM so far though. #safc

Very mixed views here.
Some people want him out now, whilst others are happy to give him more of a chance.
Nonetheless, our landlord can see the pessimism engulfing the Sunderland fans globally – and he thinks that it is not looking good for Moyes right now.
