According to Yorkshire Live, the Owls are ‘tracking’ Wing’s situation, with the 26-year-old making 20 Championship appearances on loan at Rotherham United last season.
He famously scored a wonderful volley at Cardiff City on the final day of the campaign, one which so nearly managed to keep the Millers in the division.
The Verdict: Potential shrewd acquisition
Wing could be exactly what Wednesday need going into life in League One, possessing quality on the ball – four goals and two assists in the Championship last season – and also a fighting spirit.
Rotherham boss Paul Warne has claimed that football ‘means so much to him’ and has described him as ‘great’, with that level of dedication needed at Hillsborough if Wednesday are to make an immediate return to the second tier.
If a deal for the 26-year-old manages to be completed, it could be a shrewd move by Moore.
