Sheffield Wednesday supporters have been very frustrated in the last few hours after seeing their side suffer a fifth Championship loss of the season on Tuesday night.
Jos Luhukay’s men went into their encounter with Queens Park Rangers off the back of losing 2-1 at home to high-flying Middlesbrough in their preceding league clash on Friday, and thus seeking to bounce back when they visited Steve McClaren’s Hoops on Tuesday. Yet the Yorkshire giants suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this season as goals from Tomer Hemed, Luke Freeman, and Nahki Wells secured a comfortable 3-0 win for the Londoners, thus instigating Wednesday’s fall to 14th place in the Championship table.
As such, there have been many downbeat Owls fans up and down the country in recent times, several of whom have taken to Twitter to convey their immense anger and frustration, with striker Atdhe Nuhiu one man coming in for much criticism.
The 29-year-old made the move to Hillsborough back in 2013 and has since gone on to net 39 goals in 210 appearances for the Owls, yet only one of those has come so far this term.
And with that coming on the opening day in their defeat at Wigan Athletic, the Kosovo international has endured a lengthy barren spell in front of goal, a barren spell he wasn’t able to end at Loftus Road on Tuesday night.
And with Nuhiu looking lethargic throughout the contest and ultimately failing to really carry much of an attacking threat, plenty of Sheffield Wednesday fans unsurprisingly took to Twitter to tear into the 29-year-old for his exploits on Tuesday night…
