Many Sheffield Wednesday fans are fuming with the performance of defender Dominic Iorfa following the Owls’ defeat to Huddersfield on Tuesday night.
After the game, which saw Wednesday lose 2-0, Iorfa picked up a 6.3 match rating as he lost three ground duels, made two fouls and also lost possession five times (SofaScore).
With the Owls sitting at the bottom of the division, wins are needed urgently as they are still sitting four points away from safety.
Iorfa’s performance was summed up by one fan who said he was ‘abysmal’ during the match.
Tony Pulis is known for his defensive style of play, and performances like these will frustrate him massively. With the games coming thick and fast, supporters will be hoping that both the manager and the players can put things right by the weekend.
The loss also means that Wednesday haven’t won in their last seven games, and this is not the form they want to be currently in whilst they are fighting for their lives to remain in the Championship.
