Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are trying to not get too disheartened by their defeat yesterday afternoon against Tottenham.
The men from St. James’ Park were always going to be up against it with Spurs set to be one of the sides challenging for the title but they applied themselves well.
Indeed, they really could have got themselves a draw out of the game but after Jonjo Shelvey got himself sent off for a stamp on Dele Alli, things fell apart.
For sure, though, there is still plenty to be happy about from the game and there should be no reason to panic with the club more than capable of bouncing back with a win next weekend.
Indeed, Jacob Murphy has already tweeted about moving on to the next fixture whilst also thanking the fans for their support – though he didn’t play – and so, with that in mind, here is the best of the reaction:
