Liverpool’s Luis Suarez has managed to cause controversy in the Football Transfer Tavern once again this week, although we don’t think he really meant to.
The Uruguayan forward was accused of diving to win a penalty once again, as Liverpool came back from 2-0 down to scrape a 2-2 draw at home to Aston Villa at home on Saturday evening.
Villa boss Paul Lambert was not happy with the decision, claiming the forward knew what he was doing, and Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan had ‘pulled his hands away.’
Seemingly every pundit, and the referee thought otherwise, but Suarez’s reputation meant it was the weekend’s biggest controversy.
Suarez haters have had their say in the Football Transfer Tavern, with ‘Tottenham Funnies’ going as far as to spend an afternoon on Photoshop giving the Anfield pitch a makeover that they feel Suarez would be more accustomed to.
