It’s been a tough old week for Chelsea fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern.

And unfortunately for them, we have dug up some statistics that’s about to make it even worse.

A week that started so well with a comfortable victory over Manchester United, looks set to end with the Blues allowing arguably their best player to make the switch to Old Trafford.

And the only man who seems to think this is a good idea is the ‘Special One’ himself, Jose Mourinho.

Perhaps a look at these statistics may make Jose realise he is on the verge of making a huge mistake.

Since the 2011/12 season, only David Silva has provided more assists and created more chances that Mata, although he himself has managed more goals.

Mata has provided an incredible 27 assists, created 227 chances, and scored 18 goals, in 82 Premier League games for the Blues.
