Spurs send scouts to watch Kalinic

Share

Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to ensure consistency after the international break as they continue to work towards securing a top four spot.

The Lilywhites need to seek improvements in the Champions League as they face a potential exit from the competition if things don’t start to improve. Although, it appears as if the North London club are eyeing a potential addition, as according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 65, Sunday, November 18, 2018) (via Spurs Web), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Lovre Kalinic.

Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a move for Croatia international goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic.

However, a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Watford and Crystal Palace are also interested.

Kalinic has previously impressed against Tottenham having helped Gent to knock Mauricio Pochettino’s side out of the Europa League two seasons ago.

And, with Michel Vorm struggling to produce in-between the sticks, it’s about time Spurs drafted in a shot-stopper that can provide competition for Hugo Lloris.

THE VERDICT:

Kalinic has been very impressive in the current campaign and could really be a shrewd signing for Spurs, with Hugo Lloris desperate for some competition in-between the sticks.

The Lilywhites would be able to offer the 28-year-old regular minutes in the side and a healthy looking wage, so they’ll definitely be one of the frontrunners.
