Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling pretty relaxed about the end of this season which is certainly saying a lot for them.
The Villans, of course, have had it tough in recent years with them getting relegated last season in pretty poor circumstances.
Wind forward to this year, though, and you now see a side with a much more stable feel about it under the guidance of Dr. Tony Xia and Steve Bruce.
Indeed, the pair have done well so far to bring hope back to the club and the challenge now is to see who they can bring in during the summer window as they look for promotion next year.
Of course, it remains to be seen who does come in but, as quoted by The Express and Star, Bruce does already seem to have an idea of what he wants.
He said:
“I have a nucleus of a very decent squad for the Championship. I’d like two, three or four real bits of quality – lads who will make a huge difference.”
For Bruce, then, it’s quality over quantity this summer and Villa fans will surely be pleased to hear that.
