After a pretty hectic time for the Liverpool captain prior to his arrival in South Africa, Gerrard distinguished himself with a well taken goal (which most of us had to go hunting on the Internet for, thanks very much ITV) and a decent enough performance as England’s new captain.
He knows himself that ‘decent enough’ won’t be sufficient so lets hope for a visible improvement next time out.
