According to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur on Twitter, Stoke City have made an enquiry for Genk’s Leon Bailey.
It’s come as welcome news to our Potters fans here in the Transfer Tavern who are keen to see their club make further signings in January after finding their feet in the league this season.
Their slow start to proceedings has long been forgotten with them recording a win last time out away at Watford and now it seems they are looking for extra options to help them challenge further up the table.
Indeed, Bailey appears to be a target and the Belgian side have reportedly named their price – £17 million.

The 19-year-old winger has appeared 15 times in the league this season with him scoring once and assisting four more times, whilst he also has European experience that’s seen him hit an impressive four goals in five games in the Europa League.
He seems to be one for the future then and could be coming to these shores in the near future.
