Sunderland: Fans react as crossing has improved under Lee Johnson

Plenty of Sunderland fans have been reacting to a report that shows that crossing has improved under Lee Johnson.
As per the Sunderland Echo, the Stadium of Light faithful were crossing the ball from different areas in their 2-1 away win at Oldham Athletic in the Football League Trophy on Tuesday night, compared to against Burton Albion in the EFL League One just over a week ago, a game in where they only managed to draw 1-1 at home.
Is Johnson the right man for the Sunderland job?
Yes

No

The Black Cats were crossing far less frequently against Oldham and from much better areas than when they played Burton, suggesting that Johnson has tweaked something tactically since he was appointed as their manager.
If more draws turn into wins based on this tactic, then Johnson may well be the man to lead SAFC into the Championship come the end of the 2020/21 term.
Sunderland fan reaction to Johnson report
These supporters seemed to buy into Johnson’s tactic and showed their appreciation for it on Twitter:
2 different teams …. 2 different game plans you can’t really read anything at all into that the only difference I can see if that we might have finally found a manger who may actually have an idea of how to fix it !!

Not been funny but if nobody knew how parky was playing then it says everything. He was inept to say the least. Just threw the ball in from any angle. Fair play to Johnson for addressing it immediately!

In isolation – this is a really good graphic/representation of the immediate change Johnson has targeted #safc #crossing #changing https://t.co/f1aj7eFKDE
