Sunderland fans have been discussing Aiden McGeady after the club tweeted about the winger on Thursday.

Under Phil Parkinson earlier on in the campaign, the 34-year-old couldn't really get a look-in. He didn't even play a single minute in League One until the 16th match of the campaign (Transfermarkt) as the Black Cats won just six of their first 15 games.

However, he has been fantastic since Lee Johnson came in. In 13 games in the third tier, he has two goals and nine assists, while he also scored two in the EFL Trophy as Sunderland have made it to the final.

The club decided to tweet about McGeady's form this term, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club's supporters. The fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
