Sunderland progressed to the Football League Trophy final on Wednesday, but many supporters were seemingly more worried about a potential injury to Bailey Wright.
The Black Cats progressed to the final after a hard-fought clash against Lincoln City. The Imps went 1-0 up in the second-half before Charlie Wyke equalised. Lee Johnson’s men needed penalties to make it to Wembley, and they will now face Tranmere Rovers in the showpiece.

Unfortunately, there was one bit of bad news for the north-east outfit. At half-time, Bailey Wright was brought off to be replaced by Connor McLaughlin, and it has been confirmed that he was substituted due to a muscle injury (Sunderland Echo).
