Aston Villa fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can secure promotion to the Premier League, as they still have an outside chance of finishing in an automatic place.
Indeed, it looks as if the Villains will miss out on an automatic promotion place in the current campaign, as they’ve failed to make the most of a promising position with two defeats in their last two outings. And, with Villa struggling for form at a crucial time in their season, promotion via the play-offs could be a struggle.
Interestingly, the club’s owner Tony Xia may have some questions that he wants to ask Bruce about the current campaign, with there still being a number of problems that need to be ironed over. And, with many of our local residents settling for nothing less than promotion, there’s a lot of pressure on the shoulders of the Englishman.
Therefore, here’s a look at TWO questions that Tony Xia should be asking Steve Bruce about Aston Villa’s season…
Consistency?

Aston Villa made a terrible start to the campaign as they looked like relegation contenders, with Steve Bruce managing to complete a terrific turnaround as promotion is now within reach.
Although, they haven’t managed to filter out their inconsistency just yet, as they followed up an impressive victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers with two defeats against lower-ranked sides.
Therefore, Tony Xia will need to question Bruce on his consistency before it’s too late, with there still being a chance to secure promotion.
Decision-making?

Steve Bruce has let the club down on a couple of occasions in the current campaign, with his decision-making often producing negative results.
Indeed, the Englishman failed to ring in the changes for their match against Queens Park Rangers, as only two changes were made in the span of a week that involved three fixtures.
Therefore, Xia will need to make sure that Bruce is doing what’s best for the club’s progress from now on, having failed to adjust to certain types of situations at the most crucial of times.
