Swansea City set for managerial replacement

monk3Our punters here at the Transfer Tavern are bracing themselves for the next Premier League sacking of the season, with the Mirror reporting that time could be up for Swansea City manager, Garry Monk.

With the international break now upon us, Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins, who is said to be disappointed with Monk’s results and attitude, is now set to act.

Swansea had came flying out the blocks at the start of the season, taking eight points out of a possible twelve in August, including an impressive victory against Manchester United. Monk had been impressing many in the Premier League, with several tipping the 36 year old to go onto great things.

However, it appears now that Monk could be sent crashing down to earth, as he may cruelly realise the reality and ruthlessness of Premier League manager. With Swansea only taking 5 points since August, having not won in eight games, it is perhaps difficult to disagree with Jenkins.

Swansea fans, does Monk deserve more time to change Swansea’s fortunes? Let us know!
