‘Take a punt’, ‘Get it sorted’ - Newcastle fans demand shock acquisition on Twitter following contract reports

The Newcastle fans are feeling apprehensive on what could prove to be one of the most important days in the story of their season.

Newcastle have been linked with plenty of players throughout the transfer window so far, but it appears that they will not be completing any permanent deals this month as the transfer window enters its final few hours. However, that is not to say The Magpies will not be active in the market before midnight tonight, as reports from Sky Sports claim that Benitez is set to bring Islam Slimani and Martin Dubravka to the club on loan today.

And Newcastle will most likely be allowing all four of Aleksandar Mitrovic, Freddie Woodman, Henri Saviet and Rolando Aarons to leave the club, so it looks set to be a very busy evening in the North East as things stand.

However, the Newcastle supporters are hoping that the club can make one final swoop before midnight tonight by bringing ex-Manchester City and Arsenal employee Samir Nasri to the club.

According to talkSPORT, Nasri has terminated his contract with Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor following an unsuccessful beginning to his career in Turkey.

It is no surprise that the Toon Army are calling for Nasri’s signature considering his rich history in the Premier League, even if it seems extremely unlikely that a deal could be concluded at such short notice.
