Aston Villa fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can secure promotion to the Premier League, having been superb in the second half of the season thus far.
The Villains may have to turn their attention to the play-offs with automatic promotion edging further away, as Cardiff City continue to grind out positive results. Although, Steve Bruce will be hoping that his side can gather some momentum from here on in, with many of our local residents seeing anything less than promotion as a disaster.
Indeed, Robert Snodgrass has been sensational for Villa throughout the current campaign, with a healthy amount of goals and assists to his name and still has plenty of time to add to his tally. So, the Villains will be desperate to see other first-team players raise their game from here on in, as the Scotsman can’t keep carrying the load by himself.
Scott Hogan
Scott Hogan has lost his place in the side to Lewis Grabban as he continues to be used as a substitute, but will be looking to improve on his recent form from here on in until the end of the season.
Indeed, the 25-year-old has contributed a healthy amount of goals in the current campaign, but has failed to make the most of limited opportunities in the side as he continues to struggle.
Therefore, Hogan will need to be as good as Robert Snodgrass from here on in, as a rich vein of goalscoring form could help fire Villa to the Premier League.
Ahmed Elmohamady

Ahmed Elmohamady has looked less than convincing in the current campaign as he continues to struggle, with Villa surely looking to replace him if they manage to secure promotion.
Indeed, the 30-year-old has been caught out in possession on a number of occasions, with many of our local residents hoping that he can sort out the defensive side of his game.
Therefore, the Egyptian will need to be as good as Robert Snodgrass from here on in until the end of the season, as a handful of accomplished performances could be enough to help clinch promotion.
