Our landlord has been really impressed by how well Brendan Rodgers and Celtic have done this season as they surge towards an unbeaten domestic campaign.

They’ve had some superb, standout stars on show, like Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong, however in amongst the great players, there have been a few really bad performers in their squad that simply should not be at the club.

Rodgers will be looking forward to the summer with plans to add even more talent to his ranks likely in place, but on the flipside, he’ll also be seeking to get rid of any deadwood.

In fact, it may do these players the world of good making the step down to a lower division side, whether that be in Scotland or south of the border in England with a Championship or League One team. In selling these players, funds will be freed up for better players to join the club in terms of both spending money and cash for wages.

So with that in mind, it’s about time that these TWO Celtic players make the move down a league…

KRIS COMMONS

Commons was once a Celtic hero but is now very much surplus to requirements – he was on loan at Hibs earlier in the season in the second tier.

Perhaps a move back to Hibernian, or a side similar in the Scottish second tier, or maybe a switch back to the Championship could best suit Commons at this stage in his career. If he remains at Celtic he’ll simply just sit and rot on the bench or in the stands.

LOGAN BAILLY

Yeah, he still ‘plays’ for Celtic! The once Belgian international goalkeeper, who played in top European competitions, is now sat as third choice keeper at Celtic, with Craig Gordon and Dorus de Vries considered ahead of him in the peking order.

There were suggestions he would join a second tier side on-loan in Scotland but it never came into play and now he’s simply a spectator watching as his side plays without him. He has to consider a move to the Scottish Championship or perhaps a move to the Championship or League One in England in order to ensure he gets some playing time in what are the final years of his career.
