The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern were really impressed by their side on Tuesday night. The Red Devils picked up yet another win in Europe against Benfica, with Jose Mourinho’s men putting in a characteristically stellar display on what was a crucial night for the club. With their European form looking very impressive, attention has immediately turned back to domestic matters in the Transfer Tavern, with a game against Chelsea on the horizon this weekend.
The Blues had a very different night to Man Utd, with AS Roma dominating the London contingent. With a 3-0 loss now behind them, Chelsea will be more desperate than ever to put things right with a dominate win against the Red Devils.
Jose Mourinho, then, needs to make sure that his team selection is spot on, and judging by a few recent performances, a couple of names have come to the mind of our landlord who he thinks should definately be starting on Sunday.
With that said, these 2 Man Utd players must have impressed Mourinho, they must start against Chelsea – agreed?

It’s not like Jose Mourinho to give youth a chance, but against Benfica he did exactly that. Scott McTominay was given a chance to feature from the start for the Red Devils, and boy did he impress. He was argueably Man Utd’s most impressive performer, delivering a classic midfield performance that fans are used to seeing from some of their more experienced heroes. He has all the makings of a top star, and if Mourinho has the faith, he could replicate the extraordinary rise of Harry Winks at Tottenham. A start against Chelsea is the least that he deserves.
Anthony Martial
Anthony Martial delivered another Man of the Match-worthy performance against Benfica as he continues his resurgence under Jose Mourinho. The Frenchman looked very good indeed against Benfica, and there is no doubting that he should start for the Red Devils this weekend. He was the match winner against Tottenham last week, and if he plays half as well as he did against Benfica on Sunday then Chelsea are in for a real shock.
