These 2 players could follow Troy Deeney to West Ham United in January

Our resident West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been up in arms a fair amount this season, especially when it comes to discussing their summer signings.

Very few of the players Slaven Bilic invested in over the months at the beginning of the campaign have impressed with some being downright flops.

Simone Zaza for example has played a lot of games and still hasn’t scored whilst Gokhan Tore has left Hammers fans flabbergasted.

We’ve seen injuries to the likes of Sofiane Feghouli and Arthur Masuaku, too, and so all round it just didn’t work out for the Croatian boss.

Nevertheless, he’s got a chance to show he can still work the market to his favour in January with him currently linked with Watford striker Troy Deeney.

Hammers fans will hope that is just the tip of the iceberg, though, in terms of squad building and our landlord reckons it could be too with these TWO players also linked with the club…

Mamadou Sakho

Sakho

Sakho has clearly fallen out with Jurgen Klopp, seemingly, permanently.

The Frenchman has not featured for the Reds this season after he was sent home from their pre-season tour of the United States and that suggests the pair have irreconcilable differences.

A move would be best for everyone involved and the Hammers would be his destination according to some reports.

Rachid Ghezzal

Rachid Ghezzal

Ghezzal is reportedly a target for both West Ham and Tottenham and you have to say he’d certainly improve the Hammers front line considerably.

The Algerian international has plenty of experience at the highest levels with Lyon and may now fancy a move to the more competitive Premier League to really start showing what he can do.

He’ll be coming into his prime in the next few years so the Hammers should act now.
