The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are largely delighted with their squad right now. 

Indeed, the Bhoys in our bar are wholly expectant of another domestic domination this season and their recent Champions League win over Anderlecht has seriously lit their fires of optimism when it comes to dreaming of a prolonged European adventure.

Still, there’s always room for improvement, hey?

With the January transfer window not as far away as many would like, the Hoops have previously been touted with a move for Hibernian and Scotland midfielder, John McGinn.

Having put in a huge performance for Neil Lennon’s men at Celtic Park last weekend, bagging two goals in a 2-2 draw that almost saw the champions’ amazing unbeaten run end.

The 22-year-old was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest over the course of the summer though surely put himself in the shop window as Celtic look to add to their squad.

The Bhoys in the bar want the Scotland star signed this summer, but perhaps he shouldn’t be the only arrival.

With that in mind, here’s a look at TWO more.

Lewis Morgan

Much has been made about the St Mirren youngster, who has been linked with both Celtic and Rangers. The 20-year-old is tearing up the Scottish Championship over in Paisley and looks as if he’ll have a big future ahead of him.

Under Brendan Rodgers’ coaching, it’d be interesting to see just Morgan would develop in an attacking style.

Perhaps landing him on a pre-contract would be a good idea, giving him more time to develop with St Mirren.

Jan Kirchhoff

Released from Sunderland, it’s hard to believe Jan Kirchhoff is still without a club, despite his injury problems. Clearly a talent, the former Bayern Munich man would be a wonderful option to step into either central defence or even into midfield, boasting a calmness on the ball likely to stand him in good stead under Rodgers.

Would be a risk, though one worth taking should it pay off.
