These 3 Arsenal player transfer valuations may surprise you

The Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are loving life under Arsene Wenger…

After several seasons in obscurity, Arsenal have really kicked on this season – and the Gunners look a real threat in the Premier League this year.

In what could Arsene Wenger’s final season in charge, the Frenchman appears to be pulling out all of the stops in order to get the best out of his side.

One huge part of that is making sure all of his players are on top form, and there are a selection of players in the Arsenal first team that are playing far beyond what their market value would suggest.

According to transfermarkt.com, a number of Arsenal players have relatively low market values, but under Arsene Wenger they are playing like multi-million-pound stars; and some of the numbers are absolutely shocking.

With that said, our landlord thinks that these 3 Arsenal player transfer valuations may surprise you

 Hector Bellerin

Hector Bellerin has recently been touted with a £40m move to Premier League rivals Manchester City – which makes his relatively low market value of just £17m even more shocking.

What’s more, the young Spaniard has cemented his place at the top of the pile with regards to right full-backs in the Premier League, which would undoubtedly push his market value far beyond the £17 million mark.

Luke Shaw was sold to Man Utd for around £30m, and Bellerin is every bit as good as the young English defender.

Arsene Wenger needs to tie him down to a long-term contract before that value skyrockets up.

 Francis Coquelin

Coquelin

Francis Coquelin is a no-frills player, but he is what every team needs in the middle of the park.

He is a no-nonsense, hard tackling, ball-winning midfielder – and he has done a steady job of keeping big money summer signing Granit Xhaka out of the Arsenal first team thus far.

The 25-year-old Frenchman emerged from the shadows at Arsenal a couple of years ago, and he has really grown into one of their best options in the middle of the park.

However, he is valued at just £11.05m – which is in stark contrast to the near £30m valuation of Granit Xhaka. Very harsh…

 Alex Iwobi

Alexi Iwobi has exploded onto the scene for Arsenal this season, and after being given a starting berth on the wing under Arsene Wenger – he has repaid his manager’s faith and then some.

He has really impressed this season, which makes his £6.80m market valuation even more surprising!

Iwobi’s consistency alongside his teammates is playing a big role in keeping Olivier Giroud out of the first team – with the young winger proving his worth alongside some of Europe’s best.

He is a real bargain at that price!
