These 3 Liverpool wonderkids could be worth big money in 5 years

Liverpool have created a number of England internationals through their prosperous youth academy and the next crop of talent should be no different.

Here at the Transfer Tavern we have been trying to figure which three players will become the big money mover in England.

Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler are the most iconic youthful figures to become worthy of a fortune.

Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith were some of the local talent sold recently for big money.

Jurgen Klopp is certainly no stranger to making tough decisions for the benefit of his squad and adding another youngster to his match day team would not be any surprise to any of us.

Liverpool have not been as prolific at youth team level in recent seasons, but these THREE players could still prove to be worth a fortune in just a few years….

Adam Phillips

Phillips is certainly one to watch over the coming season ahead as he made the move to the u21 squad.

His ability on the ball has drawn a comparison to Steven Gerrard but Phillips certainly has a stunning ability to divide opposition defences with one pass.

Whether it’s at Liverpool or somewhere else, it’s likely we will see Phillips representing England at senior level in the future but for now he needs to continue his progression through the academy.

Toni Gomes

Not since the days of Michael Owen have Liverpool had a player capable of scoring at any moment.

Gomes’ break-through season brought many admirers and he looks destined for greatness.

Gomes has the natural ability to score from any situation and his athletic structure make him an already equipped Premier League player.

Liverpool fans need to buy this man a drink when he hits 18-years-old and watch as he develops into greatness.

Cameron Brannagan

Brendan Rodgers brought Brannagan to the first-team squad in 2014 and Brannagan has continued his role under Klopp.

Brannagan has all the tools required to make the step up to challenge the current crop of players in the first-team.

Brannagan can cement a long-term role in the Liverpool squad if he can physically adapt to the English top-flight, but he is certainly the best Gerrard replacement seen at the club in the past decade.
