Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

The 22-year-old Serb has emerged as one of the most complete midfielders in Serie A in the past eighteen months, and Mourinho must make sure he is in the running for the player’s signature.

Set to head to the World Cup alongside United’s Nemanja Matic in the summer, the youngster may consider a switch to Old Trafford this month the perfect opportunity to forge an excellent relationship with his fellow Serb, and Matic will be sure to have nothing but positive things to say about the club since his summer move from Chelsea.

Lazio are in the midst of a title battle in Italy, and will surely be keen to keep hold of the player whilst their title hopes remain alive.

The form of Ander Herrera in the middle of the park has been questionable this season and Milinkovic-Savic represents the perfect replacement.

A ball-winning midfielder with excellent distribution, this Eastern European gem could be one of the final pieces in Mourinho’s Premier League puzzle, and is also eligible for Champions League action.
