Leeds fans love a homegrown academy graduate. Over the years they’ve had loads of success from their own academy and it looks like Jack Clarke is just the next player to shine having come through the club and after these comments from Kalvin Phillips on the 17-year-old, via The YEP, the Whites want him to start later.
"He's the type of player who can take people on and get people I excited." Has 17-year-old talent Jack Clarke staked a claim for a better chance against Ipswich on Wednesday?https://t.co/ztP5k5x23O

Against Blackburn on the weekend, Clarke was one of the brightest sparks in the 2-1 defeat and after the loss, Marcelo Bielsa could be tempted to make some changes for tonight’s clash with Ipswich at Elland Road. Clake has certainly performed well enough to warrant a start in the coming weeks and if he can carry on shining in the same light that he did at Ewood Park then eventually Bielsa will have no choice but to start him.
Kalvin Phillips’ comments on Clarke show that he’s obviously a well-respected player in the squad even though he is just 17-years-old. Clarke has been training with the first team at Elland Road since the start of the season and it looks like his inclusion in the team is on merit as he continues to show both his teammates and the fans what he can do when given the chance, and tonight against Ipswich would be a great opportunity for the hungry young winger.

Yup Jack Clarke looks the business, got be utilised carefully tho, I’d be happy to see a couple more substitutions so he can build up to being the next homegrown striker..

Ideal game to start him in, but I don’t think Bielsa will. Roofe has to come back in upfront, none of this right side malarkey

This guy needs more game time. Did more than Roberts in just 10 minutes

The lad can’t do nomor he’s earned a start give him a go looks quality actually takes players on and has a go

Absolutely yes as he’s pacey tricky and direct something we are lacking with most of our forward line. Shackleton is another with great pace prepared to go past players. #lufc

The Whites are desperate for Clarke to get some game time and would love to see him grab his first Championship goal against Ipswich tonight.
