Leeds United will be looking to end the season on a high after a largely frustrating campaign and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be excited with the news that one of their academy prospects is set to be given a chance in the first-team.
The Whites have nothing but pride to play for at the end of a disappointing Championship season that will see them finish in the bottom-half, despite starting the year in fine form and looking like an early favourite to be promoted.
Paul Heckingbottom came into the club in February to try and turn things around, however, he found the task difficult and has only managed to clinch three wins from 15 matches. The former Barnsley manager has decided to use the match with Queens Park Rangers as an opportunity for others to impress and according to reports, one of their brightest young talents could be set to feature.
Football Insider are claiming that Ryan Edmondson has caught the eye of his manager in recent weeks with his performances for the Under-18 side and is ready to give the 16-year-old his first taste of senior football after impressing in first-team training.
It is believed the youngster will be on the bench for the beginning of the game, however, he could make an appearance as Heckingbottom has proven he is not concerned about putting youngsters into the spotlight.
The locals in the Tavern will be excited with the prospect of seeing Edmondson in action after hearing plenty about him and will be hoping he can impress for the first-team. A number of punters will agree that with nothing to play for, they should give the future players a chance to see what they can offer.
