It’s set to be a busy end to the season for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, who alongside the Reds fans here in the Tavern, have one eye on the Champions League places going forward!

It’s set to be a real battle to the death for Champions League qualification this season and Liverpool boss Klopp will be desperate to secure a top-four finish to ensure European football returns to Anfield next season.

It has a massive ability to bring in some of the world’s biggest stars and having started his tenure well, he needs another strong summer to really sort his squad out going forward.

But as with any side, there are also players that are struggling for match action going forward and that don’t look at all likely to get first-team minutes in the future.

So after a word with our Reds-mad punters, here’s the two Liverpool outcasts that need to be axed from the squad by Klopp this summer…

Lazar Markovic

Lazar Markovic looked a superb talent when he joined the club a couple of years ago but his time on Merseyside just hasn’t worked out and Klopp should certainly let him go this summer.

He’s a talented player but he’s currently on-loan with struggling Hull City and a return to the Reds first-team is looking seriously unlikely.

Adam Bogdan

Speaking to many of the Liverpool regulars here in the bar, it’s safe to say that few of them expect Adam Bogdan to be a future Liverpool star and many want him to leave the club this summer.

He’s certainly not going to dislodge either Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius from the first-team picture so he’s a player that should forge a career elsewhere, instead of rotting in the reserves.
