Today is Tottenham and France midfielder, Moussa Sissoko’s birthday. Tottenham took to Twitter to wish the midfielder a happy 29th birthday but the tweet was met with a lot of negative messages from fans, who are desperate to see Sissoko off their wage bill.

Moussa Sissoko became a Tottenham player on the deadline day back in summer 2016 and it’s fair to say he’s struggled since swapping Newcastle for London. The clumsy midfielder is one who has failed to show why he commanded a £30 million fee and even now the majority of Tottenham fans wouldn’t be able to tell you what his best position is, having been deployed in a double pivot and on the right flank.
With all that being said, a feeling of team spirit needs to be achieved at the club for them to be successful, especially seeing as they failed to bring in a single new player over the summer. Plenty of Lillywhites have been going to town on the Frenchman and calling for him to leave the club. It would be a miracle if Tottenham could recoup even half of the £30 million they shelled out for him over two years ago, though, and some fans are prepared to try and give him one last chance to impress.

Can you buy him a first touch for his birthday?

A lot of Tottenham fans have little time for Sissoko and will be delighted when the Frenchman is no longer part of the squad in N17.
