Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino were applauded for giving the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane the opportunity to play regularly in the Premier League, but for Juan Foyth it hasn’t worked out the same way. The Athletic have now reported that he wants to play regularly or he’ll leave in January.

The 21-year-old has played just 20 minute in the league so far this season, but he has been given a chance in the Champions League where he’s played 197 minutes. His pass competition in Europe is 92% (via WhoScored), so perhaps he does deserve more of a chance than he’s getting. The Athletic believe his 9.92/10-rated showing against Bayern could be his last game for the club.
However, many Spurs fans don’t seem too concerned at all, and they were quick to show just how little they cared on Twitter. Some claimed it has seemed like he’s lost interest and others just don’t believe he’s good enough to demand more game time.

If he wants to play thats fair enough. However if hes not playing in the starting 11 it’s because he’s not good enough. I do rate him but he has to work hard to justify to Jose.

Not good enough to be a starter at tottenham

If he aspires to play in the starting 11 he better start playing like he deserves it. You can’t perform at such a low level and demand more game time in important games.
