Several Tottenham Hotspur fans loved what Jose Mourinho had to say in his pre-match press conference ahead of their Premier League game against Burnley.
The Portuguese manager was reflecting on Spurs’ 2-1 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford and in particular, the atmosphere in the dressing room afterwards.
He described it as a “sad dressing room” and insisted that isn’t what he wants his players to be like after losing. Instead, he wants to see them “raging” as being sad won’t “solve your problems” (via @Dan_KP).
Those comments have gone down extremely well with a large section of Spurs supporters, who are delighted to see their manager having what they feel is a winning mentality.
It was Tottenham’s first defeat under their new manager, who had previously led them to three victories against West Ham, Olympiakos and Bournemouth (Transfermarkt).
So it will be interesting to see how they respond when they take on the Clarets on Saturday and whether or not they learn from their mistakes.
