Tottenham Hotspur could be without a sizeable transfer budget in the January window, according to the Evening Standard.
Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho a few weeks ago, it has been thought that the Portuguese would look to begin reshaping his squad in January.
Spurs have underachieved this season and have won just five of their 15 Premier League games (BBC Sport), which has led to several players being rumoured with a move to north London.
Indeed, the club have already been linked with Portuguese duo Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias (Independent) and even Nemanja Matic (The Sun).
However, according to the report in the Standard, there will be no heavy spending in the January transfer window.
Naturally, this hasn’t gone down well at all with plenty of the Tottenham faithful, many of whom feel that the squad needs to be improved next month.
Here is how some have reacted on Twitter…
