Tottenham Hotspur: Fans not keen on signing Jerome Boateng

Many Tottenham Hotspur fans are not keen on signing Jerome Boateng after Bleacher Report (relayed by Ricky Sacks) suggested that the north London club are interested in bringing in the World Cup winner in the summer transfer window.

Boateng has made a total of 310 appearances in all competitions for Bayern Munich, where he has also won the Champions League and several Bundesliga titles, according to Transfermarkt. In that time he managed to score eight goals and provide 23 assists from centre back.

Added to that, he has also had great success with his national team having played 76 times for Germany. He was a key figure in helping them win the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, playing seven times during the tournament (Transfermarkt).

The 31-year old may provide some necessary experience in the back line for Spurs next season, especially if Jan Vertonghen leaves at the end of his contract and Danny Rose is sold after his loan spell ends.

That would arguably leave Toby Alderweireld as the only senior defender at the club and Boateng’s experience could prove crucial in the likes of Japhet Tanganga’s development. He has also played in the Premier League before with Manchester City.

Despite his experience, these Spurs fans are not keen on signing the German international:
