Tottenham Hotspur’s scouts have convinced manager Jose Mourinho that Jarrod Bowen is worth signing in the January transfer window, that is according to a report from the Northern Echo.
The 22-year-old has been outstanding for Hull City this season and has already scored 17 times in just 23 appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

His contract is set to expire in the summer which has led to plenty of interest in him from top flight clubs, including Newcastle United as the Northern Echo report.
However, they are suggesting that Spurs are also keen on the forward. It is thought that their previous manager Mauricio Pochettino was pursuing Bowen and their scouting team have continued to sing his praises, persuading Mourinho that he is worth signing.
Hull are reportedly asking for £20 million for the player, with Leicester City supposedly another club considering making a move for him next month.
It seems that plenty of Spurs fans would be happy to see their club sign Bowen in January, with a few suggesting that he would be a solid back-up option for the likes of Harry Kane and Lucas Moura.
Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
Good backup to Lucas

Perfect backup for Kane
Won’t demand to be a starter and could also cover Moura— Alex Benson-Wilson (@alexbw11) December 18, 2019
Bowen > Lamela. Thats the tweet.

@THFCEren not to bad for a back up to Lucas would be a good signing if he’s happy to be rotated considering he has offers from teams like Newcastle
