Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is considering starting young striker Troy Parrott in their UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday (Daily Mail).
Spurs have already qualified for the knockout stages of the tournament and cannot pip the Bundesliga outfit to first place in the group even with a win, making this game a dead rubber.
With that in mind, Mourinho will use the match to rotate his squad and give some senior players a rest including star striker Harry Kane (as per Evening Standard), which could pave the way for Parrott to play.
The 17-year-old has impressed at youth level this season, scoring six times and providing one assist in four appearances in the UEFA Youth League (Transfermarkt).
He was then given a five-minute cameo against Burnley at the weekend (Transfermarkt) and, if he does make an appearance at the Allianz Arena, then it would be his debut in the Champions League.
Plenty of Spurs fans are delighted to see that their young starlet looks set to get some game time against the German giants, here is what some have had to say about it on Twitter…
