Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the opportunity to sign striker Ze Luis on loan from Porto, that is according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The north London club are thought to be in the market for a striker in the January transfer window, with their regular front man Harry Kane set to be out until at least April after having surgery on the hamstring injury he sustained against Southampton on New Year’s Day (tottenhamhotspur.com).
Spurs have already been linked with several strikers this month, including AC Milan’s Krzysztof Piątek (Sky Sports) and even Fernando Llorente (Sky Sports), who only left them in the summer to join Napoli.
But Luis is the latest man to be linked with the club and he is certainly a man with a knack for scoring goals of late. Indeed this season alone he has scored seven league goals for Porto in just 12 appearances, eight of which were starts (Transfermarkt) and he is averaging a goal every 112 minutes (SofaScore) which is a very decent record.
Added to that, he also managed to net 14 times in all competitions for Spartak Moscow last season (Transfermarkt). And it seems that some Spurs fans would be happy to see the striker join this month, with several taking to Twitter to suggest that he would be a good signing. Here is what some had to say…
Skillful technical quick and good awareness. Porto main striker Moussa Marega has 5 goals in 13 matches, Ze Luiz has 7 goals in 12 matches and he started only 7 matches. Watch his highlights on YouTube looks great as back up striker. Do it now pic.twitter.com/7tZhaoYa58

Looks like a more athletic Lukaku. Loan with option to be is win win

As a Porto and Spurs fan, I know how good he is. He’s good, would be a recent replacement for until Kane gets back, too bad the Porto coach doesn’t give him enough chances
