Daniel Levy is determined to keep Tanguy Ndombele at Tottenham Hotspur despite concerns from Jose Mourinho, according to Football Insider.
Ndombele has struggled for consistency during his debut season in the Premier League and there has been frequent speculation about his long-term future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, a source told reporter Wayne Veysey that the Spurs chairman believes the French international can become a Premier League superstar.
After arriving in North London from Lyon for a club record fee worth £54m, the 23-year-old has shown glimpses of his quality, featuring in 19 games in the English top flight for Mourinho’s side, scoring 2 goals, picking up 2 assists, making 1.2 tackles per game, registering only 0.7 interceptions, and attempting just 0.5 shots on average so far (WhoScored).
The Portuguese plans to balance a squad overhaul by selling some of the club’s biggest stars he deems surplus to requirements. However, Levy is reluctant to let the Frenchman leave and expects Mourinho to get the best out of the youngster.
It is fair to say the Lilywhites duo have a tenuous relationship, as the head coach has directed his ire at the midfielder throughout the season.
Unsurprisingly, loads of Spurs fans took to Twitter to slam the latest news, with a supporter branding Levy a “weasel,” and another adding Ndombele’s work ethic and fitness are his “biggest downfall.” One exasperated fan even exclaimed “there’s half the problem” as he suggested the decision should lie with the manager instead of the board.

Sports car, Hillman Imp engine. Can’t last 90 minutes or play two games in a row. Fans were watching but not seeing. They continued calling for his selection. Both Poch and Jose had their selections distorted by TN.

His potential has never been in question. It’s his effort and fitness which have been his biggest downfall which is more worrying.
