Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are split over whether Vedat Muriqi would be a good signing as a potential backup for Harry Kane.
The Spurs Web and Ricky Sacks on Twitter relaid lines from a report from Takvim that suggested the north London club are willing to offer 20 million euros for the Fenerbache striker, who they see as a player who can aid Kane next season.
Spurs fans would have got a taste of what Muriqi can offer when he played for Kosovo against England in the Euro 2020 qualifiers and the 25-year old has impressed at club level this season, scoring 15 goals and providing a further six assists in 27 games for Fenerbache in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).
Yet these Spurs fans are still divided over whether Muriqi would be a good signing for them, even as a backup to Kane. One fan said that he would be an ‘ideal’ backup whereas another simply put ‘no thanks’ with the request to sign ‘top players’ for next season:
Tottenham are prepared to offer €20m for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi.
The club have set aside €20m as they view the striker as someone who can serve as a backup for Kane.
