According to a report by Football Insider, Fulham manager Scott Parker is now emerging as a lead contender for the Tottenham job, coming after recent setbacks involving two previous favourites.Â

While reports suggest that Spurs are still hopeful of appointing Brendan Rodgers, with Daniel Levy apparently willing to treble the Leicester manager’s wages (Football Insider), the Northern Irishman publicly distancing himself from the role could prove to be an issue.

As a result, the north Londoners are assessing other targets, and Football Insider have now dropped a major claim that Fulham boss Parker is emerging as a new lead contender.
